The outer buoys show the start of a minor NW swell, but locally the easterly windswell will be topping the heights today. Home guess for Hookipa is around head high with occasional bigger sets and quite stormy.

NNE energy continues to wind down at the buoys, but still offering some waves together with a building easterly windswell. Home guess for Hookipa is around head to head and a half.

Old small south swell down to 12-13s at the buoys, while new tiny 17s energy appears. Below are the maps of Oct 21 and 22 that show the fetch that generated the latter. Not much to be expected from it today, although Surfline calls for 1.5ft 15s by sunset.

Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

            • 2.5ft

N swell still shows a healthy 5ft 13s at Pauwela, but it should be trending down throughout the day. Together with the 5.5ft 8s from 35 that should provide plenty energy to the north shore (although a bit stormy). Home guess for Hookipa is around head and a half to double waist high with occasional bigger sets.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
