The small fetches associated with a weak Gulf of Alaska low indicated in the maps below of July 17 through 19 are the source of those couple of feet 8s at the outer buoys. That small energy should reach Maui in the afternoon, but don't expect that much of a change in the local wave action. Home guess for Hookipa is flat to knee high in the morning with possible waist high waves in the afternoon.
