New XL long period NW swell is rising at the buoys. Below are the maps of Jan 1 through 4 showing the fetch that generated it. The long period pulse I mentioned yesterday arrived bigger than predicted and it's still showing 8.6ft 14s at Pauwela and it should slowly decline throughout the day. Home guess for Hookipa is around double overhead plus and no wind in the morning.

Lanai shows a long period reading of SW energy, probably out of the fetch below of Dec 25 and 26. Not much on the cam nonetheless.

Moderate size and period NW swell picked up at the buoys while Hanalei and Waimea also show small readings of a longer period pulse. Home guess for Hookipa is around head and a half with occasional bigger sets.
