Thursday 3 6 25 morning call

Hookipa yesterday.

Meanwhile, on the outside the SUP foilers were enjoying some pretty wild downwind conditions.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore
Lanai
      • 1.2ft
        , 13s, S 175º

Very small southerly energy at the buoys. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore

Waimea

            • 1.8ft
              , 11s, N 350º
Mokapu
  • 6.2ft
    , 9s, NE 55º
  • 4.6ft
    , 5s, ENE 75º

Hilo
  • 9.4ft
    , 9s, E 80º
  • 3.9ft
    , 6s, E 85º

Easterly windswell is so high that made all NW readings disappear at at the buoys (only Waimea shows a little leftover). Home guess for Hookipa is around head high, bigger mid day when the wind is strongest.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
