Tuesday 4 25 23 morning call

Hookipa yesterday morning.

The board I tested yesterday had a Gopro mount. I've been foiling way too much.

Hookipa in the afternoon.

Late April is pulling off a January.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

Perplexing readings at the buoys. There seems not to be much leftover of the recent south swell, but look at the set I caught on the webcam. That's why, if there's a webcam available, that counts more than any buoys and/or forecast. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

NW swell on the decline today but still with fun size at the buoys. Conditions will be once again pristine in the early morning, but expect the wind to turn onshore and turn them into junk as the weak front that is killing the trades moves over in the second half of the day. Home guess for Hookipa is head to head and a half.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
