No sign at the buoys of that lovely Cloudbreak swell (that Surfline was calling at 0.8ft 14s from 218 for today), it's always hard for the Tasman Sea swells to find their way all the way up here. Below are the maps of April 8 through 10 that show the fetch that generated (black arrow). The red arrow instead indicates a one day fetch from the south instead (less islands on the way), which could be that 0.7ft 15s at Lanai.


Between that and the existing south swell that blessed us in the weekend (now declining), there should be something also today. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

NW energy down to minimal levels at Hanalei, today should mark the return to exclusively windswell, which is now coming from 80 degrees, so not much for our north shore. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist high, bigger on eastern exposures.
