Tuesday 4 11 23 morning call

Austin Kalama at Kanaha yesterday.

Here's a clip from the Foil Drive assisted SUP foiling downwinder I did yesterday. Btw, I have two Foil Drive Plus in stock at Hi-Tech and a bunch of accessories. I'm the only one who deals with the Foil Drive products, so you have to email me if interested or call the shop and ask for when I work.

Hookipa yesterday at sunset was showing a slight increase in size.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

New short/medium period northerly energy is at the buoys to interrupt the summer-like conditions we had for at least a week. Below are the maps of April 8 through 11 that show the fetches that generated. The black arrows indicates the more distant one that generated the more northerly 9-11s period one, the red arrow indicates the closer one that generated the shorter period and more NE one.

There's a lot of angular spreading involved in the first swell and the buoy readings actually higher than the prediction. This is Sunset Beach showing well overhead size.

Home guess for Hookipa is for head and a half to occasionally double, Honolua and the upper west side will have waves too.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
