Hookipa yesterday at sunset. Sets coming in only at waist high.
6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
- 3ft, 7s, SSE 155º
- 1.3ft, 12s, WNW 290º
- 0.8ft, 14s, SSW 210º
Lanai
- 0.8ft, 14s, SSW 200º
Very small long period SSW energy at the buoys. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested,
for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
N
- 3.1ft, 11s, N 350º
- 3ft, 8s, E 95º
Hanalei
- 4.8ft, 6s, NE 50º
- 2.3ft, 11s, NW 325º
Mokapu
- 3.9ft, 5s, ENE 70º
- 1.7ft, 10s, N 350º
- 1.1ft, 8s, ENE 75º
Hanalei shows a couple of feet 11s from 325 while the N buoy shows 3ft 11s from 350. That should give Hookipa and the whole north shore waves in the waist to belly high range.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
