Eastern exposure yesterday morning.
4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
- 3.4ft, 7s, S 170º
- 1.2ft, 15s, SW 220º
- 1ft, 11s, WNW 290º
Lanai
- 1.7ft, 15s, SSW 205º
Decent long period SSW energy at the buoys. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
Hanalei
- 6.3ft, 8s, E 80º
- 1.8ft, 4s, NE 50º
- 0.5ft, 11s, NW 325º
Mokapu
- 3.6ft, 9s, E 80º
- 4.4ft, 5s, E 80º
- 0.4ft, 13s, E 90º
The almost flat conditions continue on the north shore, the only energy worth mentioning being the easterly windswell. Home guess for Hookipa is flat to belly high, bigger on eastern exposures.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
South Pacific (about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):
