South shore
Barbers
- 1.6ft, 14s, SSW 200º
- 3.2ft, 7s, S 170º
- 1ft, 11s, SW 225º
Lanai
- 1.1ft, 15s, SSW 205º
- 1.9ft, 7s, S 170º
- 1ft, 12s, SSW 195º
Both buoys show a new small long period swell from around 200 degrees. Below are the maps of March 27 though 30 that show the fetch that generated it (only good on the 27th).
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
N
- 6.2ft, 8s, ESE 110º
- 4.2ft, 6s, E 100º
- 1.2ft, 13s, NE 45º
Hanalei
- 4.5ft, 8s, E 80º
- 1.5ft, 13s, NW 320º
- 1.2ft, 12s, NNE 30º
Mokapu
- 5ft, 7s, E 80º
- 1.9ft, 11s, NE 35º
Hanalei is back online and shows 1.5ft 13s from 320 that otherwise we wouldn't know anything about, since it's not detected by any of the outer buoys (too small compared to the other energies hitting them).
Meanwhile the NE swell is now down to almost 2ft 11s at Mokapu and the short period easterly windswell is at 5ft 7s. Home guess for Hookipa is waist to shoulder high. Bigger on eastern exposures.
