NW swell peaked yesterday slightly under predictions and should hold pretty steady today. It's definitely smaller at the upstream buoys, but the usual shift to a more northerly direction (330 at the NW buoy) should at least increase the consistency throughout the day. Home guess for Hookipa is around head and a half and once again clean conditions due to the lack of wind.

Long lasting short period NNE energy has dimished but is still offering around 4ft 10s this morning. Meanwhile the long period NW swell we discussed yesterday is rising at the upstream buoys. Home guess for Hookipa is around head to head and a half high with a slow but steady rise throughout the day (probably double overhead plus by sunset). The lack of wind should make for excellent conditions.

The big NNE swell has declined but still shows decent numbers at Mokapu and Hilo, so it should still provide plenty waves for the day. Meanwhile a new long period NW swell is just starting to show at NW and Hanalei. Below are the maps of November 25 through 27 that show the fetch that generated it.

This is the Surfline forecast for the next couple of days. As you can see, the NW will be noticeable locally more tomorrow than today.

Home guess for Hookipa in the morning is around head to head and a half based exclusively on the leftover NNE energy. The NW energy might provide some head high sets in the late afternoon.

18ft 15s from 25 at the N buoy must be one of the highest NNE reading I've ever seen. As a consequence, also today the north shore will be pretty much off limits, with the usual exception of Kahului harbor.
