The easterly windswell continues to be the dominant swell in the water. Today at least there's a bit of something else and the maps of March 28 through 31 show the sources: a small N-NNE swell already at the local buoys (red stick) and a small NW swell at the NW buoy (black stick) that will slowly rise throughout the day and last for a few days. Home guess for Hookipa is around chest high, possibly a bit bigger towards the end of the day. Easterly exposures should be bigger.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.

Friday 3 29 24 morning call

Hookipa yesterday.

Kanaha yesterday. You can see it was another epic day for downinders.

This is the Kai Lenny's video that everyone worldwide recognizes to have been the origin of the SUP foiling downwinders discipline. This is the comment I left on it yesterday evening:
"7 years later, today I had the pleasure to be side by side with you during a downwinder. Having watched this video countless times, for me it felt like a dream. Thank you for showing the world one of the most fun things humans have done in their history on this planet."
