Very small southerly energy at Lanai and onshore flow. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

            • 1.1ft
              , 6s, N 355º
5ft 11s of NW energy at Pauwela are predicted to slowly decrease to 4ft 11s by the end of the day. Home guess for Hookipa is around head to overhead high and very clean with Kona flow.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.

Friday 12 12 25 morning call

No photos from yesterday, this is the video of that accident at Nazare I tried to post a week ago, but failed. The Big Wave Challange contest is scheduled to start tonight at 11pm here.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

Surfline is down, no buoy info. Pauwela reads 7.5ft 13s on the Noaa page, but that the sum of all energies in the water, so it's not comparable to the break down of all different swells that Surfline does instead. Looking at the Paia Bay webcam, looks like fairly big waves also today.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.

More NW energy and Kona wind today, at least for the first half of the day, before the arrival of the weak front (see satellite picture below) makes the wind switch onshore. Home guess for Hookipa is around double overhead with occasional bigger sets.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.

New long period NW swell is at the buoys. It comes from the fetch that happened on Dec 6 though 9 below. Home guess for Hookipa is around double overhead and extremely clean thanks to the light southerly flow.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
