Friday 11 26 21 morning call

No photos from yesterday. This is a brief extract of the first Foil Drive assisted SUP foiling downwinder I did a few days ago. The thumbnail picture shows how to activate the motor with the remote controller mounted on the paddle. With an Armstrong HS1550 v2 and full throttle I was basically planing on the water and all I had to do is to wait for a bump to appear in front of the board and pump the board up on the foil when that happened. Thanks to this awesome device, I now have an opportunity to actually do SUP foiling downwinders and learn the fine art of riding the windswell bumps. Contact Hi-Tech and ask for me (if I'm not there, leave your name and number) if you want to get one of the next shipment.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
No southerly energy at Barbers, check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101

7.6ft @ 14s from 321° (NW)
5.4ft @ 10s from 323° (NW)

Hanalei
10.2ft @ 14s from 329° (NW)

Waimea
8ft @ 14s from 330° (NW)

Kaneohe Bay

3.5ft @ 7s from 64° (ENE)
3.3ft @ 9s from 39° (NE)

Elevated NW energy continues at the buoys, another day of big but not particularly clean waves (lots of energy in this swell) on the north shore. Home guess for Hookipa is double overhead plus and hard to surf also for the elite surfers.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
