Wednesday 12 15 21 morning call

Kanaha yesterday afternoon.

Hookipa yesterday afternoon.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
0.6ft @ 13s from 215° (SW)

Very small SW energy at Barbers, check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency. As expectable (see buoy readings below), there's some wrap from the north.

North shore
N
10.3ft @ 15s from 17° (NNE)

Hanalei
6.9ft @ 15s from 15° (NNE)

Hilo

6ft @ 9s from 39° (NE)
5.5ft @ 16s from 9° (N)

Kaneohe Bay

6.2ft @ 8s from 47° (NE)
5.4ft @ 15s from 12° (NNE)

Bad news, also Waimea is down. The strong NNE 15s energy at the N and other buoys comes from the angular spreading fetch (blue circle) north of us that happened on the 12 (map below). The 8-9s NE one comes from the nearby fetch instead and both will be overlapping in the water. North shore will be pretty big today, seeking for a sheltered spot would be a good idea. Home guess for Hookipa is for double overhead plus.
The energy from the fetch in the NW corner will arrive tomorrow but it will be a lot smaller.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
