Thursday 1 15 26 morning call

Hookipa yesterday morning.

Hookipa in the afternoon.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

No long period southerly energy at the buoys, but plenty leftover Kona windswell from yesterday on the cam. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

The kind of day in which it doesn't really matter how big the waves are, as it will be onshore all day. The 16ft 16s reading at the NW buoy shows the third XL swell that will start arriving tonight and will peak tomorrow. Home guess for Hookipa is head and half to double and very stormy.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
