Hookipa yesterday.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

      • 2.4ft
        , 9s, W 270º
Both buoys show solid long period southerly energy readings while Lanai still also has some leftover westerly energy. The south comes from the fetch in the maps of March 9 through 13 below. The readings are solid, but the cam doesn't shows much instead. It's probably very inconsistent.

Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

The energy at the buoys today comes more from the north and below are the maps of March 15 through 18 below showing the fetch that generated it. Home guess for Hookipa is around head and a half to double and no wind in the morning.

Wind map at noon (one day old prediction) . The other ones can be found here.
