Friday 3 21 25 morning call

Hookipa yesterday afternoon.


This video shows my first Foil Drive assisted SUP foiling downwind run with an F-One Momentum 516 and a comparison to my other downwind foils.

New relatively small long period NW swell is rising at the buoys while the old one still shows 3ft 12s locally. The maps below of Mar 17 and 18 show the fetch that generated the former. As you can see, the fetch was quite distant and not that impressive, so don't expect this swell to be particularly big. Home guess for Hookipa is around shoulder to head head high with occasional bigger sets in the morning with the new swell slowly rising throughout the day to possibly overhead at sunset (Surfline calls for 2ft 18s).
