Hookipa yesterday 6.30pm, Jackson Bunch training hard for the upcoming Portugal contest. Between the WSL one and the winging contest in Cabo Verde, there's going to be a lot of young Maui athletes traveling to Portugal this month.

NW swell rose according to forecast and Waimea shows 6ft 14s. Windswell on the rise too clocking 7ft 6s at Mokapu. Home guess for Hookipa is around double overhead with bigger sets mid day when the wind is strongest.
