Wednesday 6 30 21 morning call

More foiling on the south shore yesterday.

Foiling at low tide has some risks. Got lucky on this one.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
2.5ft @ 14s from 195° (SSW)

Lanai

2.3ft @ 15s from 184° (S)

New longer period pulse not at the buoys yet (or never really went up to the predicted 17s), but there's plenty energy in the water.
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Hanalei
2.3ft @ 9s from 335° (NNW)

Waimea
1.8ft @ 9s from 337° (NNW)

Pauwela

3.3ft @ 6s from 75° (ENE)
2.6ft @ 7s from 58° (ENE)
1.8ft @ 9s from 1° (N)

NW energy is locally tiny, so is the windswell. Hookipa virtually flat, maybe tiny waves at Pavils.

Forecast and energy spectrum of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here (click on animation of the 10 meter column).
