Thursday 12 14 23 morning call

No photos from yesterday. This photo by FishBowlDiaries from 9 years ago popped up in the Facebook memories. That was my favorite windsurf sail ever: a Hot Sails Maui Firelight 2013. I was never able to find a sail as light as that one, but right at the moment I'm borrowing a new Lithium KS3 from the same brand which is even lighter and I'm hoping to get a good test session on it.

Remarkably, I still use the same board and boom (this last one not for much longer though as it's falling apart). This is one wave I caught at Hookipa with the Lithium two days ago. FYI, I still windsurf, although 5-10 times a year, when the conditions are just the way I like them.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

No small southerly energy at Barbers. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

I've been anticipating victory at sea conditions on the north shore for a couple of days already and they are now actually happening. Home guess for Hookipa is around double overhead and very stormy. Seek sheltered spots.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
