Small southerly energy at the buoys and not much on the cam. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

New 11s north swell is at the buoys. Below are the map sof September 7 through 9 that show the fetch that generated it. As you can see, the fetch got pretty close to the islands, so the waves will be very consistent and with a character of storminess which will compensated by the lack of local wind. So, clean faces, but tons of waves breaking and a lot of water moving. Home guess for Hookipa is double overhead plus and no wind in the early morning with a light onshore flow for the rest of the day. The harbor will have waves, if you're looking for something less chaotic.
