fat and short...

I had a couple of sessions with one of Sean Ordonez' new production wave boards. It's a 92 liters, but it turns like a shortboard. Which it actually is, since it's only 240cm...
At the shop they also have a demo 99 liters. I can't wait to try it in a day with very light wind and some waves...
Check out his other boards at: http://www.sosshapes.com/2006/home.html
Good job Sean, I really enjoyed sailing it.

Hi Giampaolo,

A frequent visitor here. Keep up the good works. What sail did you try the Rocket 92 with and in what kind of conditions?

Aloha from the Netherlands!

Hi Robin,

I had my 5.5 and it was perfect on the inside at Hookipa, sometimes a little overpowered on the outside. It's a Superfreak... it handles the overpower extremely well.
The board had no problem at all with a 5.5.
The were some fun shoulder high windswell sets and the board bottom turned with a surprisingly short radius.
Don't expect a superfast board, though. The width and related water displacement won't allow that.. you can't have everything!
Sean sent me an email saying that I should try it with the rake fin it comes with. Will do...

Ciao.

Hi Giampaolo,

Cheers for your reply. I want to be using this board with my two largest Superfreaks (5.3 and 5.8). Sounds that this board will handle those. :)

Aloha,

Robin

I wondered why you were so satisfied with your life....now I know. Most of my readers want to live where I do, but you've been there , done that and found something better!

Nikinpos and anonymous, it'a all relative. What for one can be heaven for another can be hell and viceversa...
Thank god! Otherwise heaven (whatever it would be) would be a bit crowded...

Hey Niki, quite a hot picture you got!
