Pipeline masters

You guys MUST check the videos from today at Pipeline.
Sick barrels in solid 8 feet hawaiian, some of which ending in very shallow water. Like the one of Kuau neighbor Ian Walsh, that after having done excellent at Sunset beach is doing nothing worse at Pipe.

Talking about Pipe, here's Derek Ho in a water cave. This photo has been my desktop for quite a while now...

Lately I've been tempted to switch to this one instead...

Any preference on the net?

Today it was yet another great day in the ocean. Standup surfing in the morning at Kanaha and windsurfing on a 5.5 and big wave board at sunset. The wind was very offshore and light on the inside and that made the waves pretty freaking clean. Super fun. Tomorrow, more of the same.
Plenty moderate swells on their way, but unfortunately the wind will be howling again in the last part of this week, as uncle Pat says in his last forecast.

So long.

Hey Giampaolo,

What size fin would you use for that?

Oh, I'm sorry, you didn't want any more serious comments on your blog! Thanks for the porn, it's greatly appreciated. I haven't seen a wave or a bikini in months!

Hey GP;
it looks like you are fully in surfing mode now, but I saw a pic from Kevin Pritchard windsurfing big jaws on Dec 10th (windsurfjournal.com). Were you there? Any comments/pics?
Thanks!!

Nice ploy to wake up sleeping fans up with some T & A!
I’m jealous……of your up standing performance in perfect conditions. I must quit my job-I must quit my job-I must quit my job…..

Ely, they look like they may require quite a big fin for easier planing...

Lano, I'd take the ugly one too... if I only could decide which one she is!!

Marcos, if I was there this blog would have photos of that sessions...
Funny, after having read the article (hey, I can read French!), me and Kev had similar days. We both went to Honolua bay to check the surf contest and after that we both went sailing. I went to lower Kanaha, he went to Jaws... so what?
Anyway, quite impressive that he was out there completely alone with no safety at all.

Sharon, don't do it! If you quit your job the following horrible things are going to happen:
1) you won't offer me any more free weekly stays in time sharings around the world!
2) you won't buy me dinner as often as you do now!!
3) you will have too much free time and will want to spend it with me!!!

Trust me, not having a regular job is terribly boring...
