Lovely sunset yesterday.
6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Lanai
- 3ft, 13s, S 180º
- 2.2ft, 11s, S 180º
- 0.7ft, 18s, S 190º
Barbers
- 2.6ft, 13s, SSW 195º
- 2.4ft, 9s, S 170º
South swell holding up nicely at 13s period while a new long period energy overlaps. That energy comes from the fetch indicated in the map of July 15th here below.
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
Mokapu
- 5.1ft, 6s, ENE 65º
Windswell only on the north shore. 5ft is a decent number, but 6s makes it extremely weak. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist high.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
South Pacific (about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):
