Maalaea shots keep pouring. I like this angle from Ilan Artzy. Freight Trains really is an extremely fast wave. Makeable, but only if you're good enough.
6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Lanai
- 4ft, 13s, S 170º
Barbers
- 1.9ft, 13s, S 185º
Mega swell keeps trickling down. I'm sure you noticed how Lanai's readings have been consistently bigger than Barbers, sign that it was even bigger east of us. Nonetheless, 4ft 13s seems a bit more than what's in the water this morning on the cam.
Check the Lahaina
webcam if interested, for size,
conditions and consistency.
North shore
Mokapu
- 6.1ft, 6s, ENE 65º
Windswell only on the north shore, home guess for Hookipa is knee to waist high.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
