New medium size long period NW swell is at the buoys. Below are the maps of May 9 through 12 that show the NW fetches that happened in those days. I put a black stick on a relatively intense one in the Kamchatka corner on the 9th and a red stick on another that happened a bit more south after that. Direction of today's swell is around 330-335, so I believe it comes from the first one. Home guess for Hookipa is around head high plus and clean in the morning, building to head and a half plus at sunset (Surfline calls for 3ft 14s).
