in the harness in three days...

...it's very difficult, but not impossible!

Ladies and gentlemen, here's the amazing Catherine on her THIRD day of windsurfing...

The board is a Starboard 12.6 that has proved to be a really good board for learning.

For some more radical action (well, in the harness on the third day... that's pretty rad too!), check this post on Kevin Pritchard's blog.

Wow. She must have phenomenal balance, managing to tack over than leftover wave! Was she a dinghy sailor before by any chance? Looks like she has the feel of the wind very well if no prior parallel experience!

I once taught a young, athletic helicopter pilot on an old one-design, after telling him it was way too windy for his first time out. After half a dozen falls, he managed to hang under the booms and plane across the lake. Some people really are gifted....

Very impressive balance, now it's great to be a windsurfer. Thanks to Starboard innovation, I think about the GO experience...and the result is there for beginner !

I think the tip he was looking for was an invite for Lasgana.... MB

I lost my Google password- anyone know how to change or reclaim this?

Did you make the menu at the bottom of the video, or is that an automatic thing? One of the videos listed (where it all began 40 years ago) shows the place I first windsurfed, but it was only 30 years ago. It's Belmont Shores, Cali--a spot we used to call the "Bay of Pigs", a silly term given all the fine looking ladies that hung out there. Not much wind and no waves, but then those old 12 foot windsurfers couldn't handle much.

Hey GP, are you around. Haven't seen you at the beach yet. We should bet together. I'd like to have you over to the house for dinner. Pick your brains about this upcoming test.

for that matter, I would like to get a wavesailing lesson from you someday soon.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Yo Bill, dinner and lesson both sound good. Too bad the SUP board test is not this week... it's gonna be glassy and wavy!
Oh, and the menu appears automatically on any youtube embedded video and I love it too...
