Sunday 10 3 21 morning call

Hookipa yesterday afternoon. Photo by Jimmie Hepp from this album.

3-4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers

1.9ft @ 9s from 170° (S)
1.6ft @ 14s from 193° (SSW)

Small southerly energy at Barbers. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Hanalei
0.8ft @ 14s from 290° (WNW)

Waimea

3ft @ 9s from 351° (N)
2.2ft @ 6s from 34° (NE)
0.7ft @ 14s from 321° (NW)

Kaneohe Bay
5.2ft @ 8s from 38° (NE)

Hanalei records small 14s energy possibly from typhoon Mindulle, too west for Maui's north shore, Kihei might get some lines. Based on the Kaneohe Bay reading, home guess for Hookipa is for waist to shoulder high waves.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here (click on animation of the 10 meter column).
