Friday 3 25 22 morning call

Hookipa yesterday afternoon.

5-6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
No southerly energy at Barbers, but the N buoy shows 2ft @ 14s from 191° (SSW)
Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101

7.6ft @ 8s from 81° (E)
2.1ft @ 14s from 334° (NNW)

Hanalei

7.1ft @ 8s from 52° (ENE)
3.8ft @ 11s from 19° (NNE)

Waimea

6.4ft @ 8s from 21° (NNE)
3.9ft @ 11s from 344° (NNW)

Pauwela

5.5ft @ 9s from 21° (NNE)
3.3ft @ 11s from 335° (NNW)
2.1ft @ 4s from 44° (NE)

NNW energy continued to decline at the buoys and this morning is only 3.3ft from 335 at Pauwela together with the other NNE and NE energies that you see. The 14s reading at the NW buoy shows a new small NNW swell that should be more noticeable locally tomorrow. Home guess for Hookipa is for head to head and a third and still a bit stormy.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
