Hookipa yesterday morning. Matt Kinoshita in his element.
Hookipa in the afternoon. Photo by Jimmie Hepp from this album.
When I'm without my usual "power hour at the Bay" partner, I go for a different challenge: to try to get a decent shot. Btw, the real Bay had some great waves and the Legends of the Bay contest. Should be even better today.

Kaa at sunset. Mauricio had it to himself.
6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
No southerly energy at Barbers. The NW swell turned north enough to allow a significant wrap to reach Lahaina. Below is the cam together with the Paia bay one underneath. Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for
size, conditions and consistency.

Pauwela
NW swell peaked yesterday higher than the prediction (see Pauwela's graph below, the thin zig-zag line is the significant wave height recorded by the buoy and overimposed to the prediction) and today still offers 8ft 13s locally. So plenty size and consistency also for today, home guess for Hookipa is for double overhead and tons of energy.
Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
