Monday 3 7 22 morning call

Thanks to Pete for the donation.

Hookipa yesterday morning. It was a lot smaller at sunset.

Eastern exposure mid morning.
6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers
2.5ft @ 8s from 197° (SSW)

Small short period southerly energy at Barbers. Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101

4.9ft @ 10s from 45° (NE)
3.9ft @ 6s from 329° (NW)

Hanalei
4.8ft @ 10s from 34° (NE)

Waimea

3.9ft @ 11s from 334° (NNW)
1.7ft @ 9s from 20° (NNE)

Pauwela
6.1ft @ 9s from 49° (NE)

Waimea is the only buoy that still shows some leftover NW energy (today down to 11s) while every other buoy is only showing short period NE energy, specially Pauwela. Home guess for Hookipa is around head to head and a third high with possible bigger ones, peaky and clean, eastern exposures will have similar size. Enjoy the lack of wind (which is pretty much been lasting since the beginning of the year with some short periods of trades), as the trades should be back starting tomorrow, when a new NW swell should also arrive.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
