Sunday 11 8 20 morning call

Pretty solid waves at Hookipa also yesterday. This is my pick of Jimmie Hepp's album of the windsurfing action.

4am significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
2ft @ 13s from 179° (S)

Lanai
1.8ft @ 13s from 189° (S)

Couple of feet 13s at the buoys, less at the Lahaina webcam. Check it if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
N
5.1ft @ 11s from 23° (NNE)

Waimea
5.9ft @ 13s from 18° (NNE)

Hilo
7.1ft @ 12s from 5° (N)

NNE energy still in the water, this week is going to be mostly about easterly energy. Wave size should be similar to yesterday. Hookipa head and a half at least.

Wind map at noon .The other ones can be found at link n.-2 of GP's meteo websites list in the right column (click on animation of the 10 meter column). Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: apparent direct aim, but out of the great circle ray map, so not 100% sure).

North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):

South Pacific (about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):

Morning sky.
