Friday 6 10 22 morning call

Didn't have a photo of the day until prone foiler Payce arrived from a chip-in mini downwinder from Hookipa. 30l board and Lift 120, if he went down, the only option would have been to paddle in.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers

0.9ft at 14s SSW 210º
0.9ft at 11s S 175º

Very small southerly energies at Barbers. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Waimea

1.2ft @ 8s from 334° (NNW)
0.5ft @ 13s from 265° (W)

Mokapu
3.4ft @ 8s from 102° (ESE)

The small NNW 8s and W 13s energies at Waimea come from the weak fetches in the maps of June 5 and 6 below.

I doubt that will make much at all on our north shore, so I'm gonna call Hookipa flat to waist high.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.

Fetches map
(circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.

North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):

South Pacific
