Sunday 6 19 22 morning call

Hookipa yesterday.

Five minutes of my exciting downwinder yesterday.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers
2.5ft at 17s SSW 210º

Tasman Sea swell is peaking. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
4.9ft @ 13s from 337° (NNW)

Hanalei

1.8ft @ 14s from 325° (NW)
1.5ft @ 11s from 310° (WNW)

Waimea

1.7ft @ 15s from 318° (NW)
1.1ft @ 11s from 311° (NW)

Mokapu
5.7ft @ 8s from 71° (ENE)

New NW pulse is showing pretty strong at the NW buoy and should increase the size of the waves on the north shore in the afternoon. Below are the maps of June 12 to 16 (already posted on the 16) that show the fetch that generated it on the 15 and 16.

Home guess for Hookipa in the morning is for chest to head high mostly thanks to the elevated ENE windswell at Mokapu. Size should increase in the afternoon thanks to the arrival of the new NW pulse.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
