Kanaha yesterday. The wind was blowing hard, I filmed my epic downwinder, but the edit will take some time.
6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.South shore
Barbers
0.5ft at 11s SSW 200º
0.3ft at 15s S 190º
0.2ft at 12s SW 230º
Very tiny southerly energy at Barbers.
Check the Lahaina
webcam if interested, for size,
conditions and consistency.
North shore
NW101
2.6ft @ 10s from 322° (NW)
Hanalei
1.4ft @ 11s from 320° (NW)
Waimea
1.6ft @ 11s from 302° (WNW)
Mokapu
4.5ft @ 8s from 83° (E)
4.4ft @ 6s from 83° (E)
The small NW energy won't probably do as much as the 8s easterly windswell. Home guess for Hookipa is for knee to belly high.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
