Almost there...

Sorry guys, I have been back on the 23rd as planned, but I got sick and don't really feel like doing the call.
I'm slowly getting better though, so it shouldn't be too long before the morning calls are back.

Meanwhile, for the hard core fans who miss their favorite blogger, this is a video put together by the Foil Drive guys at the AWSI and it shows a free flow interview with me from minute 4:30 to 12:30. Cheers.

Tuesday 9 5 23 morning call

I'm going to be traveling, the blog will resume September 23rd.

Hookipa yesterday morning.

JDFollowCam posted this video that in the second half shows a couple of the top Maui rippers: Cash Berzolla (Armstrong) and Liam Coralle (F-One).

And since I'll be gone for a while, here's a long one for you. Alan Cadiz's wingfoil state championship race in Oahu.

        • 1.3ft
          , 12s, S 190º

Solid numbers at the buoys. Below are the maps of August 29 through September 1 that show the fetch that generated the 17s energy. The core of the swell was aimed east of us, lots of angular spreading involved and that usually means low frequency of arrival.

Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

      • The NW energy turned NNE at Waimea while the easterly windswell is on a steep decline at Mokapu. Home guess for Hookipa is waist to belly high and clean again in the first part of the morning.
