Tuesday 5 30 23 morning call

This is my favorite foiler Adam Bennetts on the new F-one Eagle 690, which I've been enjoying winging in the last few days and can't wait to try it SUP foiling at Kaa when the occasion arises.
They came out together with the new SK8 range (A/R 8, I got the 550, but haven't really tested it yet). We received all sizes SK8 at Hi-Tech, although they might still be in the boxes, as we've been busy with the Memorial day sale. I'll help putting them out when I go Wednesday morning and I also received three Foil Drive Plus units for our stock.
Enjoy the video!

Tasman Sea energy continues pretty solid at the buoys. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

The tiny WNW energy at Waimea and Hanalei is not going to do much locally. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist to chest high out of the NNE windswell you see at Mokapu.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.

Monday 5 29 23 morning call

While I was trying to fix my Windows 7 computer (which I eventually succeeded to do), I made a brief attempt to use to a Mac, but I got immediately frustrated by the lack of a proper delete key (!!). No photos from yesterday, this is a photo of Hookipa at sunset on Saturday evening that I was going to post yesterday.

    • 0.9ft
      , 12s, S 185º

The leftover of Tasman Sea swells that were massive at Cloudbreak continue to arrive on our southern shores. Below are the maps of May 18 to 23 that show the fetches that generated them.

Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency. There's some good size sets.

Mokapu

    • 2.6ft
      , 8s, NNE 30º
    • 2.9ft
      , 5s, ENE 70º

The upstream buoys show a small WNW swell in the 2ft 14s range.
Below are the maps of May 24 through 27 that show the fetch that
generated it. Not much to be expected on our north shore due to its
small size and westerly direction, but Hookipa might have
inconsistent waist to shoulder high sets from it. Flat elsewhere.
