Sunday 5 24 26 morning call

Hookipa yesterday.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore
Barbers
      • 3.2ft
        , 14s, S 190º
Lanai
      • 2.2ft
        , 14s, S 185º
      • 1.2ft
        , 10s, S 180º

The buoys show a decent amount of southerly energy (especially Barbers). Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore

Hanalei

    • 2ft
      , 13s, NNW 330º

Waimea

            • 2.1ft
              , 13s, NNW 330º

Pauwela

            • 5.5ft
              , 9s, NE 55º
            • 4.7ft
              , 6s, ENE 60º
            • 1.7ft
              , 14s, NW 320º
That small NW swell I mentioned yesterday is at the buoys, but the dominant energy will still be the NE windswell. Home guess for Hookipa is around chest to head high with occasional bigger sets.

Wind map at noon (1 day old prediction). The other ones can be found here.
