SW swell looks better at Lanai than it does on the cam. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

The long period pulse I mentioned yesterday arrived bigger than predicted and it's still showing 8.6ft 14s at Pauwela and it should slowly decline throughout the day. Home guess for Hookipa is around double overhead plus and no wind in the morning.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.

Lanai shows a long period reading of SW energy, probably out of the fetch below of Dec 25 and 26. Not much on the cam nonetheless.

Moderate size and period NW swell picked up at the buoys while Hanalei and Waimea also show small readings of a longer period pulse. Home guess for Hookipa is around head and a half with occasional bigger sets.

Moderate NW energy continues at the buoys, while the outer buoys show a new larger swell on the rise which will peak locally tomorrow. Below are the maps of Dec 27 though 31 showing the fetch that generated it. Home guess for Hookipa is around head to head and half with possible bigger sets at sunset (3ft 15s predicted by Surfline).
