Yesterday I overlooked the NNW readings and didn't think they were going to do much. Instead, as the the top picture shows, the swell went up to 3ft 13s and produced well overhead waves at Hookipa. It was generated by the fetch in the maps of September 18 and 19 below.

What's left of it today is those 3.3ft 11s at Waimea. Pauwela doesn't show any of that, but I'm sure there's still something in the water also here. Home guess for Hookipa is waist to shoulder high with occasional bigger sets.
