South shoreNo southerly energy at the buoys, but there could be some sets. This time of the year, not seeing southerly energy at the two south facing local buoys doesn't mean there really isn't, as the NW energy often covers up the smaller swells from other directions. I wrote this mostly because there has been a fetch down under that probably generated a small south swell of which the small but long period forerunners could already be in our water (with very low consistency). Below are the maps of Feb 3 through 7 that show it.

NW energy rebounded up again at the buoys. I'm uncertain of the source, as the NW buoys show two different directions (300 and 320). Below are the maps of Feb 5 through 8 that show a source from 320 (black arrow) and a more westerly one from 300 (red arrow). It's probably a mix of the two. Home guess for
Hookipa is around double overhead and no wind in the morning.
