No photos from yesterday (although I saw some of solid Honolua). This shot of me was taken by Tomoko. Foil Drive assisted SUP foiling is my favorite foiling discipline. Particularly with small waves and still water on the inside (unlike these days).

The first XL NW swell of a series of three is down a bit from yesterday (7ft 14s), but the second one will already start building in the second half of the day and should be macking at sunset (11ft 17s called by Surfline). Home guess for Hookipa is around double overhead with occasional bigger sets and very clean in the morning with light Kona's before the arrival of the front in the satellite picture below will bring onshore winds in the afternoon.

Very small leftover NW energy from the previous moderate swell is at Pauwela while a new much larger long period one will be rising all day. It comes from the fetch that happened on Jan 7 through 10 below. Note that the map of the 9th is missing, as I failed to grab the screenshot yesterday. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist to shoulder high and clean with no wind in the morning with the new swell rapidly building mid day to double overhead and more. Surfline calls for 8ft 15s at sunset.
