Tuesday 7 14 20 morning call

I've not being taking photos lately, as I was very busy testing wings. But I finally made the choice, which I will disclose soon. For the moment, I'm just going to say that my hand chose it for me...

This is Kai Lenny at La Perouse in a... fairly big day. Photo by Darrel Wong.

4am significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
1.3ft @ 12s from 176° (S)
0.5ft @ 18s from 204° (SSW)

Lanai
1.4ft @ 13s from 166° (SSE)
0.7ft @ 18s from 202° (SSW)

Low 12-13s southerly energy mixed with a pinch of 18 SSW should make for possibly fun size but very inconsistent sets. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Pauwela
4.8ft @ 8s from 75° (ENE)

Small waves at Hookipa (close to flat), bigger on eastern exposures.

Wind map at noon
(the other ones can be found at link n.-2 of GP's meteo websites list in the right column).

Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: apparent direct aim, but out of the great circle ray map, so not 100% sure).
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):

South Pacific (about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):

Morning sky.
