Monday 4 11 22 morning call

Nicely framed shot of Bobo Gallagher going up while the guy on the background goes down. Yesterday at Kanaha.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers
1.9ft at 14s SSW 195º

Southerly energy at Barbers went down to 14s, but it should be another good day on the north shore. Some overhead sets yesterday. Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
3.4ft @ 11s from 325° (NW)

Hanalei
6.1ft @ 10s from 67° (ENE)

Waimea

1.7ft @ 12s from 317° (NW)
0.5ft @ 15s from 276° (W)

Mokapu
6.3ft @ 10s from 61° (ENE)

The NW buoy shows small NW energy, half the size at Waimea. Surfline calls for 1.6ft 12s, so this swell should be barely visible in the midst of the elevated windswell. Below are the maps of April 6 through 8 that show the fetch. Pretty small size and not particularly strong winds, hence the weak swell.

Home guess for Hookipa is around chest to head high of windswell peaks.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
