Kanaha yesterday.
4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
2.1ft at 14s S 190º
Barbers still shows southerly energy. Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for
size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
NW101
2.4ft @ 11s from 337° (NNW)
Hanalei
2.4ft @ 12s from 321° (NW)
Waimea
1.4ft @ 12s from 315° (NW)
1.3ft @ 11s from 343° (NNW)
Mokapu
5.4ft @ 7s from 93° (E)
Kaneohe Bay
3.9ft @ 7s from 64° (ENE)
3.6ft @ 9s from 55° (ENE)
Small NW-NNW energy at the upstream buoys. Below is the maps of April 8 through 10 that show the small fetches that generated.
The windswell at Mokapu went down in period and it's now from the east. That means it won't get as much at Hookipa and on our north shore. At the same time Kaneohe Bay still records ENE directions and higher periods, so the home guess for Hookipa is particularly challenging this morning. Throwing the possible inconsistent small NW lines in the mix, I'll call for waist to chest with possible head high sets.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
South Pacific (about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):
Morning sky.

Where are you getting your Barber’s buoy data from? Surfline has been showing irregular data recently when I last looked at it. Is Lanai data gone forever? Thanks.
