Hookipa yesterday morning.

3-4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
Long period south swell only grew to 1ft 20s, but that should continue to increase throughout all day.
Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for
size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
NW101
2.5ft @ 18s from 43° (NE)
Hanalei
Waimea
4.5ft @ 12s from 342° (NNW)
Mokapu
5.2ft @ 8s from 74° (ENE)
The long period readings (disregard the directions) at NW101 and Hanalei are signs of a new NW swell that will be on the rise all day. Below are the maps of April 20 through 22 that show the fetch that generated it.
This is the Surfline forecast that shows the swell peaking tomorrow morning at 6.7ft 16s from 332.
As far as the morning goes, based on the leftover 12s NNW energy at Waimea and the easterly windswell, home guess for Hookipa is for around head to head and a third and windy.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
