Hookipa yesterday.
5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Lanai
- 2ft, 14s, SSW 210º
SSW swell showing the magic 2ft 14s at Lanai (most breaks on the Lahaina side work nicely with that size).
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested,
for size, conditions and consistency It looks like there's the MIL contest there today.
North shore
NW001
- 4.8ft, 9s, E 90º
- 3.3ft, 13s, NNW 330º
Hanalei
- 5ft, 9s, ENE 60º
- 3.3ft, 13s, NW 320º
Mokapu
- 4.6ft, 8s, NE 50º
- 1.4ft, 15s, N 350º
NW swell picked up as predicted and should be around 3ft 13s locally. Together with the long lasting shorter period NE energy that should give Hookipa waves in the head to occasionally head and a half range.
