Armed coast guard boats were patrolling the Kanaha waters in front of the airport as the US president was visiting Maui.

Couple of feet 13s at the buoys with a hint of longer period energy. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

Windswell is rising at Mokapu while a bit of long period energy from Hillary is in the water too. The SE buoy feels this last one the most, as it's missing us to the south. Home guess for Hookipa is waist high with possible bigger sets.
