Very small southerly energy at the buoys and almost nothing on the cam. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

New long period NW swell is rising at the buoys, while the old one (2.5ft 13s) and the ENE windswell still linger in the water. The maps of March 11 and 12 below show the fetch that generated the former. Home guess for Hookipa is around head high with occasionally bigger sets, gradually building throughout the day until double overhead plus at sunset (Surfline calls for 3.2ft 16s at 6pm, but the NW buoy suggests more than that).

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
